Fahrmeier Bros Vineyards - Vineyard management

	Growing Grapes in Mid-west can be challenging and is much different than other areas of the country. We currently manage 3 different vineyards in Lafayette Co. totaling close to 20 acres. Twelve of which are located at our farm. Our farm is also host to some of the University of Missouri – ICCVE test plots.
	Fahrmeier Farms uses sustainable practices that provide the highest quality grapes while maintaining the health of the vineyard. It is our belief that great quality wine starts in the vineyard so it is important to use management practices to increase quality.
	ICCVE – University of Missouri Test Plots The ICCVE Currently has four test plots on the Farm. They include both a white and Red cultivar trials of varieties that they feel are commercially viable. They have a ½ acre Cabernet Franc and a ½ acre Vignole both in root stocks trials. We will be adding an eating grape trail in 2010. These are open for viewing at any time by appointments.
